Our History
Family funfairs have been around for a long time. Back in the early 19th century, people started visiting showground and making use of the fun rides they found there. As electrical technology developed, so too did the range of rides available and the amount of fun visitors had increased along with it.
Taylor Leisure was founded just over 100 years ago, a family run business with the aim of providing the best and latest in fairground rides around Scotland. Back then the fairground looked very different to what it does today yet there are still elements around that the company’s founders would recognise if they visited one of our funfairs today.
Taylor Leisure now works from two locations to offer coverage across almost the whole of the country – one site in Glasgow and the other in Edinburgh. While the company has grown over the last 100 years, the core ideas haven’t. We aim to provide the very latest fairground rides that are to the highest standards of safety and are the best possible fun.
Our rides and other facilities are available for a wide variety of occasions from corporate or charity events to weddings and parties. We have something suitable for almost any venue and the bigger the space, the bigger the range we can offer.
